Adding images & videos

Although contributors are not permitted to upload files to the Ireland Blogging website, they can still add images and videos to their blog posts as URLs.

If you have posted an image or video on social media which relates to the article you wish to post on Ireland Blogging, all you need do is copy and paste that social media post’s URL into the blog article as its own separate paragraph (see examples below).

This will generate a clickable image of the social media post in the published article. Clicking on the image will open the original post on the respective social media platform (see examples below).

We encourage the linking of Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Flickr and YouTube posts in Ireland Blogging articles. Below, we give some examples of links and how they appear in an Ireland Blogging article.
